WWW 2010

The tenth annual Weinstein Women's Weekend was held in Sarasota this year.  This year the group included my mother (who is doing great at 91), my sister Karen, my niece Rachel, and my new daugther-in-law Ali!  My sister-in-law Linda also joined us.

Our weekend included food, chocolate, outings, and Shabbat services and dinner.  We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, swimming in the pool, watching the drumming circle at sunset on the beach, and learning how to make jewelry together.  We produced 19 necklaces and over 30 earrings during our weekend!  The Weinstein Women really know that girls just like to have fun!

Celebrating our anniversary

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
How's this for an old married couple of 37 years?!  Here we are on the porch of Wildacres, one of our favorite places in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina.  After returning from Israel, we attended the Greater Association of Rabbis Conference here and enjoyed catching up with our friends and colleagues that come each summer.  We celebrated our anniversary in a lovely B&B in Asheville and then returned to Wildacres for a Shabbaton weekend lead by Steve.  There were about 30 participants from several NC congregations and we studied the theme of Naming Ourselves, Naming God.  It was a wonderful weekend -- a truly energizing experience for Steve as he starts on his new venture after retiring from being the congregational rabbi of Beth El Synagogue for 32 years.  More later....
