HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
How's this for an old married couple of 37 years?! Here we are on the porch of Wildacres, one of our favorite places in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. After returning from Israel, we attended the Greater Association of Rabbis Conference here and enjoyed catching up with our friends and colleagues that come each summer. We celebrated our anniversary in a lovely B&B in Asheville and then returned to Wildacres for a Shabbaton weekend lead by Steve. There were about 30 participants from several NC congregations and we studied the theme of Naming Ourselves, Naming God. It was a wonderful weekend -- a truly energizing experience for Steve as he starts on his new venture after retiring from being the congregational rabbi of Beth El Synagogue for 32 years.
